The collectible Telegram username market maintained almost the same level of trading activity during the September 19–25, 2026 period, but strengthened noticeably in monetary terms.
The number of transactions increased only slightly, while total trading volume rose by more than a quarter. The main change took place in the premium segment: sales above 10,000 GRAM returned, and the volume generated by the largest transactions increased significantly.
At the same time, the role of 4-character usernames became even more pronounced. Less than one percent of all transactions in this category generated almost 60% of the week’s total trading volume.
The median price remained at 10 GRAM. This means that the mass-market segment changed very little: overall growth was driven primarily by more expensive assets rather than by an increase in the price of a typical transaction.
Key market indicators
- number of transactions: 10,169
- total trading volume: ≈ 1,062,913 GRAM
- estimated average transaction price: 104.52 GRAM
- median price: 10 GRAM
- GRAM price at the end of the period: ≈ $1.46
- estimated trading volume in USD: ≈ $1.55 million
The gap between the average and median price widened again. A typical transaction still takes place around 10 GRAM, while the average moved above 100 GRAM due to a stronger upper end of the market.
Compared with the previous week, monetary concentration increased in two directions at once. The number of large sales rose, while the 4-character segment expanded both in transaction count and trading volume.
Comparison with the previous week
Compared with the September 12–18 period:
- the number of sales increased by approximately 1.2%
- trading volume increased by approximately 27.3%
- the average transaction value increased by approximately 25.8%
- USD trading volume increased by approximately 34.6%
- the combined value of the five largest sales increased by approximately 78.8%
- the GRAM price at the end of the period increased by approximately 5.8%
The main feature of the week is the sharp divergence between an almost unchanged number of transactions and a substantial increase in monetary volume.
A week earlier, the market recorded 10,048 sales worth about 834,743 GRAM. This time, the number of transactions increased by only 121, while approximately 228,000 GRAM more moved through the market.
The main reason lies in the premium segment. The number of transactions above 10,000 GRAM increased from two to seven, while their combined volume rose from approximately 33,328 to 121,858 GRAM.
At the same time, the 4-character segment strengthened considerably: its trading volume increased by approximately 38%, while its share of total weekly volume approached 60%.
Market structure by username length
4 characters
the main center of capital
- sales: 96
- volume: about 637,209 GRAM
- median price: ≈ 5,968 GRAM
- share by number of transactions: 0.9%
- share by volume: 59.9%
Four-character usernames strengthened their position even further as a premium class of their own.
Just 96 transactions generated almost 60% of the entire week’s trading volume. Compared with the previous period, the number of sales increased by approximately 22%, while monetary volume rose by about 38%.
Importantly, high value in this category is once again not limited to just a few exceptional names. The median price approached 6,000 GRAM, while the median for the market as a whole remains at 10 GRAM.
This is one of the clearest signs of the structural premium associated with minimum length.
5 characters
the largest individual mass-market segment
- sales: 2,183
- volume: about 117,025 GRAM
- median price: 10 GRAM
- share by number of transactions: 21.5%
- share by volume: 11.0%
The 5-character segment remains one of the largest sources of trading activity and also strengthened noticeably in monetary terms.
Compared with the previous week, the number of transactions increased by approximately 5%, while the category’s trading volume rose by more than 30%.
At the same time, the median remains at the mass-market level. This confirms the familiar structure: most 5-character combinations trade at relatively low prices, while a comparatively small layer of higher-quality names raises the category’s overall monetary volume.
6 characters
strong growth in monetary volume
- sales: 1,565
- volume: about 96,271 GRAM
- median price: 10 GRAM
- share by volume: 9.1%
The number of 6-character sales remained almost unchanged, while the category’s monetary volume increased by approximately 42%.
The large sale of @config made the most visible contribution, but the increase was not limited to a single transaction.
As before, the median price shows that 6-character length by itself no longer creates a consistent premium. High value is concentrated in specific meaningful names.
7 characters
weaker after a strong previous week
- sales: 1,253
- volume: about 51,069 GRAM
- median price: 10 GRAM
- share by volume: 4.8%
The 7-character segment weakened noticeably compared with the previous week.
The number of sales decreased by approximately 6%, while monetary volume fell by more than 30%.
A week earlier, this category was supported by several expensive, meaningful names, including the largest sale of the period. This time, the center of the premium market shifted back toward shorter usernames.
8 characters
higher activity with moderate monetary weight
- sales: 1,166
- volume: about 51,292 GRAM
- median price: 10 GRAM
- share by volume: 4.8%
The 8-character segment recorded growth both in the number of transactions and in trading volume.
Sales increased by approximately 10%, while monetary volume rose by about 30%.
Even so, the category still accounts for less than 5% of total trading volume. At this length, value is already determined almost entirely by the quality of the individual name rather than by structural scarcity associated with length.
9 characters
more transactions, but less capital
- sales: 1,017
- volume: about 36,614 GRAM
- median price: 10 GRAM
- share by volume: 3.4%
The 9-character segment provides a good example of why transaction count alone does not reflect the strength of a market category.
The number of sales increased by approximately 7%, while monetary volume declined by almost 20%.
This means trading remained active, but the names sold during the week were cheaper overall than those sold in the previous period.
10 characters
a smaller segment with noticeable growth in volume
- sales: 758
- volume: about 29,480 GRAM
- median price: 10 GRAM
- share by volume: 2.8%
The number of 10-character sales remained almost unchanged, while trading volume increased by more than 60%.
Despite this growth, the category still represents only a small part of the overall market.
As in other longer segments, an expensive sale here is primarily a characteristic of a specific name rather than a consequence of its length.
11 characters and longer
a large flow of transactions with limited monetary weight
- sales: 2,131
- volume: about 43,952 GRAM
- median price: 10 GRAM
- share by number of transactions: 21.0%
- share by volume: 4.1%
Longer usernames once again accounted for roughly one-fifth of all transactions, but generated only slightly more than 4% of monetary volume.
The number of sales decreased slightly compared with the previous week, while trading volume increased by approximately 11%.
This once again shows that longer names remain a fully established mass-market part of the market, but high value within this category requires a strong individual name.
Brief Conclusion on Username Length
The influence of length was particularly visible this week.
Four-character usernames accounted for less than 1% of all sales but generated almost 60% of total capital. Moreover, four of the five largest transactions of the week were also 4-character names.
At the same time, length alone does not explain everything. The TOP-5 also included the 6-character @config, while the 4-character group contained both genuine common words and a combination without an obvious dictionary meaning.
Minimum length therefore remains the strongest structural factor of scarcity, but meaning and practical usability continue to have a major influence on the value of an individual asset.
Largest deals of the week
- combined TOP-5 volume: 100,987 GRAM
- TOP-5 share of total trading volume: 9.5%
- username length range within the TOP-5: 4 to 6 characters
- breakdown by length: four 4-character usernames and one 6-character username
Compared with the previous week, the upper end of the market strengthened noticeably. The combined value of the five largest sales increased by almost 79%, while their share of weekly trading volume rose from 6.8% to 9.5%.
The composition of the TOP-5 is particularly revealing. Four positions were occupied by 4-character names, but first place went not to a word, but to a short letter combination. At the same time, second place was taken by a genuine 6-character technical term.
Top 5 largest deals
- @wwkf — 30,520 GRAM (≈ $42,280)
The four-character wwkf does not appear to be a common English word and has no single obvious universal meaning.
This makes the transaction particularly interesting from the perspective of market structure. The largest sale of the week was a combination whose value appears to be driven to a significant degree by minimum length and the scarcity of 4-character Telegram usernames.
Four characters give the name compactness, a clean visual form, and the possibility of being interpreted as an abbreviation or initials for many different projects.
At the same time, the absence of an obvious standalone meaning makes its valuation more dependent on the scarcity of the category itself than would be the case with a genuine word.
For this reason, @wwkf is a good example of how strong the structural premium of the 4-character segment remains.
- @config — 30,000 GRAM (≈ $42,962)
The six-character config is a widely used abbreviation of the English word configuration.
It is one of the most recognizable terms in programming, system administration, software development, and technology infrastructure.
As a digital name, it feels particularly natural: the word is short, has straightforward spelling, is directly associated with technology, and is already part of everyday professional vocabulary.
Such a username could serve naturally as an address for a developer, software product, technical channel, documentation project, configuration service, or infrastructure-related platform.
The fact that a 6-character name ranked second illustrates the opposite side of the market: a strong genuine word can compete in value with much scarcer 4-character assets.
- @half — 14,000 GRAM (≈ $19,768)
The four-character half is a common English word meaning one of two equal parts of something.
It combines two strong factors at once: minimum market length and a genuine dictionary meaning.
The word is short, easy to read, instantly recognizable to an English-speaking audience, and suitable for a wide range of branding scenarios — from media and entertainment projects to products related to division, shares, discounts, or comparison.
Unlike a random four-letter combination, @half requires no explanation and already has a clear identity of its own.
Its high value is therefore supported by both scarcity of length and the quality of the name itself.
- @chad — 13,333 GRAM (≈ $19,037)
The four-character Chad is both a male given name and the English name of the country Chad.
In addition, the word Chad has developed a separate layer of recognizability in modern internet culture through a widely used meme archetype.
This combination creates an unusually broad range of associations: a personal name, a geographic name, and internet culture.
For a digital asset, the four-character length, simple spelling, and strong international recognizability are particularly important.
In a commercial or public-facing project, its specific meaning would depend heavily on context, but as a Telegram username, @chad benefits from several independent sources of recognizability.
- @grow — 13,134 GRAM (≈ $18,862)
The four-character grow is a common English verb meaning to increase, develop, or become larger.
It is a short word with positive associations and clear commercial potential.
It naturally fits projects related to business, investing, education, personal development, marketing, technology, or audience growth.
The combination of meaning and length is especially strong: four characters provide structural scarcity, while the word itself offers a clear concept and a wide range of practical use cases.
Unlike @wwkf, the high value of @grow is supported not only by the scarcity of short names, but also by the standalone value of the word itself.
Market distribution by price segment
Up to and including 10 GRAM
- 7,911 sales
- 77.8% of all transactions
- volume: about 65,414 GRAM
- 6.2% of trading volume
The mass-market foundation of the market remained almost unchanged.
Nearly four out of five sales still take place at prices of 10 GRAM or less, yet together they generate only about 6% of weekly trading volume.
Compared with the previous week, the number of these transactions increased by approximately 1%, while their monetary volume rose by about 5%.
This confirms that the main growth in the market did not take place here.
Over 10 and up to 100 GRAM
- 1,330 sales
- 13.1% of transactions
- volume: about 39,990 GRAM
- 3.8% of trading volume
This range also remained almost unchanged.
Both the number of transactions and monetary volume declined slightly, but the overall structure of the category remained stable.
The lower and middle mass-market segments therefore contributed very little to the sharp increase in weekly trading volume.
Over 100 and up to 1,000 GRAM
- 785 sales
- 7.7% of transactions
- volume: about 153,608 GRAM
- 14.5% of trading volume
The number of sales in the 100–1,000 GRAM range increased slightly, while monetary volume remained almost unchanged.
This segment continues to serve as an important transition zone between mass-market sales and the genuinely premium part of the market.
Less than 8% of transactions generated roughly one-seventh of the entire week’s trading volume.
Over 1,000 and up to 10,000 GRAM
- 136 sales
- 1.34% of transactions
- volume: about 682,041 GRAM
- 64.2% of trading volume
This range once again became the main center of monetary activity.
Just 136 transactions — slightly more than one percent of all sales — generated almost two-thirds of the week’s total trading volume.
Compared with the previous week, the number of these transactions increased by approximately 16%, while their combined volume rose by about 26%.
This range contains most of the expensive 4-character usernames, meaning that the strengthening of the shortest segment is reflected directly in the market’s price structure.
Over 10,000 GRAM
- 7 sales
- 0.07% of transactions
- volume: 121,858 GRAM
- 11.5% of trading volume
This segment recorded the most noticeable change of the week.
A week earlier, only two sales above 10,000 GRAM were recorded, with a combined value of 33,328 GRAM. This time there were seven such transactions, generating more than 121,000 GRAM.
The number of exceptionally large sales therefore more than tripled, while their monetary volume increased by approximately 266%.
Even so, the market does not depend exclusively on a few record-breaking transactions. Seven sales above 10,000 GRAM generated only about 11.5% of total trading volume, while the largest concentration of capital still lies in the broader 1,000–10,000 GRAM range.
Brief Conclusion on Price Structure
The basic architecture of the market remained intact: a very large number of inexpensive transactions generates liquidity, while monetary value is concentrated in a comparatively small number of expensive usernames.
This week, however, the upper end of the structure became noticeably heavier.
Transactions above 1,000 GRAM accounted for only about 1.4% of all transactions, but together generated approximately 75.6% of weekly trading volume.
At the same time, the center of the market did not shift entirely toward exceptionally large transactions. The 1,000–10,000 GRAM range remains the main monetary segment, with capital distributed across more than one hundred individual sales.
The growth of the category above 10,000 GRAM therefore strengthened the existing premium structure rather than fundamentally changing it.
Weekly summary
The September 19–25 week showed that the market can generate a substantial increase in monetary volume even without a significant rise in the number of transactions.
The main change was not in the breadth of market activity, but in its quality: buyers directed more capital toward higher-value and scarcer assets, while the mass-market segment remained stable.
This makes the period more a week of strengthening at the upper end of the market than a broad-based surge in activity.
At the same time, the structure of sales remained relatively distributed: growth was not driven by a single exceptional transaction or one record-breaking sale. The premium segment strengthened across several areas at once, making the movement broader and more substantial.
As a result, the market ended the week with a stronger monetary structure than in the previous period while maintaining a stable mass-market base.
